Q:In Matthew 24 as Jesus talks of the end days, I don't understand verse 28, the carcass and the vulture. Is it just a simple comment of vultures following dead, or what am I missing?

A:As Jesus spoke about the end times, He referred to how clear and evident it will be when the Son of Man returns on Judgment Day. Jesus used two illustrations to show that no one will be able to miss His return. In verse 27, He talked about lightning in the sky. Everyone sees it - there is no question. In verse 28, He refers to vultures in the sky. Everybody sees the buzzards circling! In the same way, everyone will see Jesus when He comes back. He won't be able to be missed!
